The terms for using Thin Air Harvest: educational gardening pages, no professional relationship, and limits on liability.
These terms cover your use of the Thin Air Harvest website. By reading the pages you agree to the limits below. If you do not agree, do not use the site.
The pages are general information
Thin Air Harvest publishes educational articles about gardening in Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, and northern New Mexico. The articles are general. They are not a contract to advise you about your property, and reading them does not create a professional relationship. Horticulture, pesticide use, tree risk, food safety, and water rights all depend on facts the site does not have: your soil test, your elevation and aspect, the current label, and the law that applies where you live.
You are responsible for how you use the information. Check frost statistics against a current station, check plant names against a current extension note, and follow the label on any product you apply. Local rules, including homeowners’ association rules and municipal watering schedules, can be stricter than anything written here.
Intellectual property
The text, tables as arranged on these pages, and the site design are published by Thin Air Harvest. You may link to any page. You may quote a short passage with a link and attribution to Thin Air Harvest. You may not copy entire articles onto another site, sell the collection, or present the pages as your own work. Public data cited in the articles, such as a NOAA station table or an extension fact sheet, remains the property of its publisher. Those sources should be used under their own terms.
Trademarks named in passing, including program names such as Plant Select, belong to their owners. Naming them is description, not endorsement by those owners.
Acceptable use
Do not attempt to disrupt the site, probe it for data it does not hold, or send malware to the contact address. Do not scrape the site in a way that degrades service for other readers. Quoting for private study, classroom use, and ordinary search indexing is expected.
Advertising
The site is prepared for a possible Google AdSense configuration. Until that configuration is deliberately enabled, no ad script runs. Ads, if they appear later, are not endorsements by Thin Air Harvest of the advertiser’s products. Sponsored relationships are not part of this version. Any future commercial relationship that affects a recommendation will be disclosed on the editorial policy page.
Disclaimer of warranties
The site is provided as-is. Frost dates are historical statistics and can be wrong for your yard even when they are right for the station. Plant performance varies. We do not warrant that a crop, a cultivar, a fence, or a watering schedule will succeed. We do not warrant that the site will be available without interruption.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Thin Air Harvest and the people who maintain it are not liable for lost crops, damaged trees, water bills, injury, property disputes, or any other damage arising from use of the site or from inability to use it. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations. In those places, the limitation applies only as far as the law permits.
Changes and contact
